CCFL’s

Another week, another update!  I really should get this thing wrapped up, but frankly I’ve been having too much fun using it!  I haven’t wanted to keep it down for more than a day.  I’ve got a few things done, just the same.

If you’ve got to use CCFL’s, you might as well go with one of the best.  I picked these up from Vibelights.com.  Although they are high quality, their prices are comparable to most anything else out there.  One benefit is that I can mix and match parts.  I bought a 12” and a 6” CCFL, and inverter.

So, that being said, I finally got the face plate mounted.  I did a little creative cutting, and was able to mount it without using a spacer.  I didn’t take any pics of that, because frankly it was pretty uneventful.  4 screws, and the thing was bolted in place.

We’re almost there!

But wait, there’s more!  When I dropped the new pump in the case, I also added a tube and fillport to the case.  Why not?  Hell, I still had room!

All I needed was a little piece of aluminum stock and a hole…

A new fillport, and the case cover in place
